Product Origin: Papua New Guinea Dark roasted 100% Arabica coffee

100% single origin a high flavour coffee with good acidity with exceptional aromatics with a full smooth deep rich body with a long smooth, sweet finish. Can have a good, slightly pungent aroma.

The coffee hails from the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea this region has a reputation for producing the finest Arabic coffee in the country and the world.

The start of commercial coffee production began with the planting of seeds from the highly revered Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee in the 1920’s. In those early days only a few plantations made up the industry. The current industry is mostly made up of small holders with a few trees to few hundred trees.

The hot climate with abundant rainfall, mountains peaks producing volcanic soil is rich as it is fertile and provides a great home for coffee cultivation.

Producing Regions –

Eastern Highlands, Western Highlands and Chimbu

These regions of  forests, rivers valleys and mountains with fertile volcanic soils ranging in altitude from 1300m to 2000m produce quality coffees.

Annual Production – 1 Million 60kg Bags

Harvest  – April to September
